I am still so devastated by the news and images coming out of South East Asia. I can't watch the news anymore. I lost it after they showed a mother in Sri Lanka burying her 4 children and husband. It's just too much for these people to have to bare. There are entire generations wiped out for Christ sake!
It's crazy to watch the news and see places where you've actually been and met wonderful locals and had the time of your life and now absolute devastation. I finally found an article where it mentions aid getting to some people who need it. I guess that's what I what to hear. It seems to be taking so long.
I know everyone feels really broke after Christmas but if you can spare anything, click the Oxfam link in the post below. Thanks.

Hi Jody!
I agree with everything you've written. It's just brutal watching the news and yet I can't turn away from it. Goodness, we're so lucky to be living in Canada.
I really like your blog! It's fun and insightful to read.
Thanks Chelly, I like yours too.
Thanks for spreading the word! Oxfam is a really great organization and you can be sure that your money will be put to a good use.
Christmas is the time that we should think about whats really important. We are all willing to buy those extra gifts for those people that we don't really like, but we all have excuses when it comes to giving money where it is really needed.
