I just found out that The Revue Theatre in Toronto is set to close.
The Revue is Toronto's oldest movie theater built in 1912 and it never stopped showing movies. Great movies at that!
I am so sad right now. I used to walk by it every day to and from school. It's even where I saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time.
It is such a token of my childhood. My Mum and stepdad also went there all the time. I don't think they ever missed a Woody Allen Festival.
Just watch, the next time I go back to Toronto I'll find that my favourite greasy spoon has been closed. Ok, now I'm just feeling sorry for myself.

I feel your pain. Movies always seem to upgrade to films when watched in an old theater. They add that extra bit of magic.
Very good point.
Jody I so agree with you. The Revue always showed the best alternative films. I will miss their homemade brownies and hot apple cider. I didn't know the Revue was closing, must make my way down there in the next week or two. Thanks for the info. Patricia
I used to go there too! That was in one of the 17 or so neighbourhoods I lived in in Toronto. And I've enjoyed many a cheap breakfast at The Stem.
